Admiring the View

I went down to Charlestown this evening. The main harbour is still closed off, so most people walk alongside the harbour and have to stop and look over the wall at the end before going back again.  When it's properly open you can cross a footbridge and have a more circular walk.

The dog walkers always stop and look over the wall, leaving their dogs to sniff around on the ground.  I've never seen this done before, but this dog walker lifted up his little dog so he could see the view too.  There is a beach below, and the dog walker told me his dog used to cry to go on the beach (its closed off too) but now he's got used to only being able to look at it.

If Snake Cummings had been here I expect he would have just barged through the barriers and gone on the beach if it was in the best interests of his four year old son!
