The day the Earth moved

No jokes (MrBroon) but the earth moved this morning! I was still in bed when it started wobbling and then the windows started rattling followed by what sounded like a clap of thunder! Yes, an earthquake ! Jacinda also felt it mid interview and just shrugged it off. Himself was in the shower and felt not a thing. 5.7 apparently but we were a long way from the epicentre which was somewhere above Wellington.
Enough excitement for one day! Later we went for a wander around Payne's Ford. I like the snakey boardwalk and the little river was full after last night's torrential rain.
