Over the HIll

Kind of sums up the day! A big one. We went over the Hill - actually a colossal peak with an exceptionally windy up and an even windier down which is still being repaired where half the road disappeared in the earthquake of 2018. We bought a new car seat for Esme, some new clothes for Esme, Joe bought some hiking boots and Himself treated me to a pounamu a spiral one of course (hopefully not as expensive as the one in this shop!!). We didn't arrive home until late but as we left Nelson an amazing sunset was going on - taken in a wobbly van, through a window with my phone but I quite liked the effect.
The shops are all open as are the museums and galleries so it feels almost normal except my hands were so frequently sanitised they are mega soft!
