The Small Things

One of the benefits of being at home so much is that you spot things you wouldn't have noticed otherwise.  I've spotted a large number of labybird pupa (1st extra and at the top of the cane in the main picture) around my raised bed in the veg patch recently and spotted a newly emerged ladybird this afternoon. I never knew they emerged yellow and without spots (main picture).  It's not until their wings have dried that they start to change colour and their spots become visible (2nd extra).  Who knew......
