If there's one thing that Abi and the Minx have in common, it's that they are both great, entertaining company and yet are quite happy - sometimes, it seems, happier - on their own.
So while Abi routinely resists my entreaties that she come out walking with me and Dan, she often goes out solo.
This afternoon, Dan and I walked out to Whittington, through the farm to the river (see Extra) and home. We were just on then last stretch - passing Jim Bowers' palatial residence - when we bumped into Abi coming the other way.
After a dismal start, it had turned into a beautiful day and Abi came back with us for a post walk drink on the deck looking out over the valley.
