Frills & Ruffles
Slept well......woke around 7 but went off again, it was gone 9 next time I opened my eyes!!
After breakfast we headed out, a walk down town, as we left we bumped into our new nextdoor neighbours to be......they seem very nice. Our other neighbour was on his drive, asked if he wanted anything from the bakery, a meat pie & a vanilla slice was his answer :-)
Town did seem busier, long queues outside the bank, building society and bakery. We waited our turn.....must have taken 20/25 mins before we got served, then walked back.Once home again, lunch was ham & cheese toasties for hub, scrambled eggs & ham for me.
The weather gradually brightened & warmed up as the afternoon progressed. Sat in the summerhouse a while, before I decided to take the shears to two shrubs either side of our arbour......we keep them circular. I also weeded and cleared part of the shady border. We really need something that tolerates dry shade, if anyone has any suggestions?
Hub cleaned the car out front.
We couldnt decide what to have for dinner tonight.....had some fresh mango that needed using up, so concocted a chicken & mango thai green curry. Think I enjoyed it more than hub ;-)
I missed a great blip opportunity in the garden mid afternoon!! How many times have I said to myself, take your camera into the summerhouse!!! Three little fluffy wren babies, recently fledged by the looks of them, flitting around just outside the windows. One of them actually landed on the doors rubber seal right in front of me, then went onto the garden furniture and up onto the fence. Went indoors to get my camera but typically, they had gone by the time I got back out again :-(
So another walk around the garden, another clematis.....I dont know the name of this frilly madam Im afraid :-/
Enjoy the weather everyone.....looks like we are in for a good week. Stay alert, stay safe x
