Day 70 - Difficult to believe that it’s been 70 days since we have been in our COVID isolation situation. To day Cycled to Putney for a few memory lane venues from the 1970’s. My first job teaching at Mayfield School on West Hill (a comprehensive with 1800 girls). Then part of the ILEA. It then became ADT college and is now Ashcroft Technology Academy. The buildings are still the same but updated and looking smart. Also two flats I lived in...in Holmbush Road and Chelverton Road, Putney. Also a blue plaque...for Sir William Lancaster(1841-1929). He was mayor of Wandsworth 1901-1902 and was co- founder of the Putney School of Art which is still there today.(see the extra)
