Last time I cut Tooli’s hair she was about five.
She didn’t speak to me for about a week.
She says ‘why did you cut it?’
I told her - your dad bought me a set of hairdressing scissors.

So you can imagine when she said ‘okay mum. You can cut my hair today’.
I approached the situation with all due care and seriousness which befitted the occasion.
How we laughed. I snipped and snipped, she squealed, I laughed, the neighbours sniggered. She screamed a couple of times and then I decided we were done!

And then she went to bed for the rest of the afternoon.
This morning they got in touch.....
Tooli has been offered a place at Oxford ...
Can you imagine the excitement. We were all in tears this morning! Amazing achievement!
We don’t mind whether she goes or not - she got an offer from Plymouth too; both have got pros and cons...
Tooli being Tooli will stress for a couple of weeks and then make her decision or she’ll find another course; or another country .... but what ever she does, as long as she is happy, we are
