It is Friday

A great welcome back to the Tim Franks Quartet at Burgundy's in Kendal last night. What are the chances of Tim Franks and Tim France being together in a jazz group - well this is the case here with T Franks on drums and T France on tenor saxaphone.
With them is Gary Boyle on awesome guitar and Dave Turner on bass. Here they are
I started sketching T Franks as he is at the back and rarely do you get a good sightline to the drummer. As he gets into his drumming his face goes through immense contortions and this leaves me to contemplate what expression am I going to fix on in the sketch!! The dilemma is that when he is not playing he has a very happy smiling face and always most interested in others. His wife, who drives him up from Stockport (c 80 miles) has certain names for his expressions - which I could not possibly divulge!!
