It is Friday

A new face and sound at Burgundy's last night. On the left is Mike Bell on guitar with some awesome solos. But also a great moustache for a sketch!!
On the right is John Woodhouse, a most versatile reed man - on flute, clarinet and sax and lead for this John Woodhouse Quartet.

And in the middle is Stu Lewthwaite and although with his dostinctive specs and characteristic curly black hair, he should be easy to render in a sketch but the likeness is not as good as I had hoped. I think it is because I think I know how to draw this in my mind's eye and my precise observation is not exact enough! The fourth member is Ted on drums who was really on form last night.

A great night - good beer, good music, great friends and the joy of painting these talented guys.
