St Stephen's Church, Hammerwood

This delightful church sits alongside the A264 between East Grinstead and Ashurst.

As such there is no village of 'Hammerwood' and so its not really a parish church much more an 'estate' church erected by the owner of the nearby Hammerwood House.

The church is now listed for sale but its status as Grade II* will undoubtable complicate matters. The nearby church on Holtye  common opposite the Golf Course  (St Peter's) discussed for the past 15 years is also available to buy!
