Read her like a book....

We decided to keep L off school again today as the break did her great yesterday. So, after an early morning puppy walk (before it got too hot) and after a spot of breakfast, we packed a bag made some sandwiches and left for another hike to another waterfall we’d heard about further up than yesterday’s.

It was another scorcher and we found the waterfall quite easily (it is off the beaten track but I had directions) and enjoyed lunch there. Even though 2 local council lads had a chipper on and were clearing away some of the estate.

Once they left we enjoyed the lovely sounds of the water and birds. The waterfall is at the foot of a private estate which has recently been bought by new owners looking to renovate the outbuildings on the land.

There’s an old summer house right at the waterfall which would be great once completed.

L’s reading habit continues and she wanted to walk the full 9km reading but we managed a compromise.

On our return we got her friend and neighbour A over for a socially distanced water fight now we are allowed to mix with other households.
