Babies

I got out early this morning for a little walk and went to the pond where I know there are two muskrats.  What a surprise to see two baby muskrats! This blip does not show how very tiny they are - very much like a guinea pig when a baby (a small one!).  Notice how white those little nails are for digging  :)

In contrast, I have put a photo of an adult muskrat having breakfast in another wet area, further down towards the lake.  It is about the size of a small-medium dog and notice how dark its nails/claws are.

Now the rain has started again.... At least everything is green and it has greatly removed the humidity. Always a silver lining....
