Scented

The flower fest continues. As forecast the other day the scented peonies have started to bloom. This is the first to come into full flower. I have not particularly noticed the coloured trim on some of the petals before.

The scent is sweet, perfumed and heady. On a beautiful still hot day it has been lovely.

Despite the easing of lockdown in Scotland I spent the day at home enjoying the sunshine and warmth. Planted it some spinach and radishes ( courtesy of M&S seed pods); cut up more of the shrub trimmings; and shifted some 50 flagstones and concrete blocks to clear a path. More shifting tomorrow.
