Busy

The past few days it’s been like living abroad. You wake up and the sun is shining. The air has a warmth and stillness about it. And when the wind does blow it does not cut through you with icy fingers. There is no real need for a windbreak. And the sun shines all day.

In fact the weather over the past few weeks has been great. So much so that all the various inside jobs that I was going to tackle are still on the list.

The outside tasks are progressing though. Today was grinding away the rust from the front garden gate then painting it afresh. Took hours but in the sunshine that did not matter. And the paint dried quickly.

An early evening celebratory drink in the garden followed by a BBQ The key workers clap was as active as ever. And lockdown eases tomorrow.

I’m sure the bees will be back enjoying the alliums again. Now, where’s tomorrow’s list? Oh, it’s going to be sunny again!
