Shady & inviting

A warm night last night, a bit disturbed, but not bad overall......I laid awake awhile, hub was still asleep, so I got up.

We had breakfast outside, already lovely and warm. I,striped the bed and put in strsight nto the machine, somitmwould be ready to hang out when we got back from our walk.

We walked into,toen, got hubs newspaper, then we walked to the top of town and cut through St. Oswalds Church.........it was looking lovely in the sunlight, so that was todays blip sorted.

Back home, a quick coffee and a read before lunch. Feta and white nectarine salad for me, sandwich for hub.

The afternoon was rather hot today, lots of watering, for the plants and us, laundry.
dried in no time......we both saught some shade at one time or another.

After the daily update, we had a glass of rose in the garden, before I went to sort an earlier,thsn usual dinner. Tonight it was griddled tuna, chilli prawns, jersey royals, asparagus and petit pois.......lovely :-)

Then we joined our neighbours vis zoom for the golf,club quiz.....we came 4th of 16 so not bad. We invited our neighbours to pop round into our garden afterwards.

We all spent 3 hours sat chatting in our garden, drinking wine, eating low calorie snacks ;-) The solar lights came on as it got dark, we put the lights on in the summerhouse, the first time we have stayed out late, with everything lit up, it looked really pretty :-) The pipistrel bats were flying around the garden, always entertaining to see them :-)

Well its late now, 00.30am so time to turn in, nighht all......stay alert, stay safe :-)
