Survivor?

We had a family of four baby blackbirds, a few days ago one was caught by the sparrowhawk, which left three and then one was caught by a neighbours cat.  I’m not sure if this one survived as the photo was taken before the cat incident.  The sparrowhawk needs to feed itself, the cat is just a BL***Y nuisance.  I’ve reset up the cat deterrent on the front wall (the one Merv has recently repaired).  We didn’t see the cat yesterday - lets hope the deterrent worked, though no doubt it will fin another way in.

Walk in Blacker Wood - woodland walks are good when the sun is very hot. We took a path that I haven’t walked before and fortunately came out in a part of the wood that is familiar.
