Californian Sun

I bought some strawberries in the week with the intention of trying to create a water splash picture with them. It looks so easy on the internet / YouTube, but I struggled!  The biggest challenge was working out how my flash worked again ... I even had to resort to looking out the manual.  In the end I managed a couple of reasonable shots - one in extra.

For my main image, I turned back firmly into my comfort zone, and a shot for BikerBear's continuing Flower Friday Challenge.  This is a strongly backlit Californian Poppy, grown from ancient seeds I found lurking at the back of the shed.
