St Mary's Island
I headed into the outlet centre at Chatham today for some new shoes and then took a walk around around St Mary's Island, originally used by the Romans who constructed a road across the marshland to a ferry across the Medway to the Hoo Peninsula. Once part of the Royal Dockyards at Chatham, it is now part Chatham Maritime development area for residential and commercial use, including a commercial port and marina, as well as the aforementioned outlet centre.
The sky was this strange blue colour, and having had a successful shopping trip had a lovely walk around the island envying the houses with their gardens, patios and balconies with river views.
