Day 151/20. A youngster.

In clearing some weed from our pond (it seems to have gone crazy this year), this young Common Newt was accidentally trawled out.
Probably only a few days old, it was photographed and then returned to the water.  Perhaps 2cm nose to tail, its legs are not yet fully developed, but it certainly swam away strongly when returned to its pond home.
