An earlier than usual walk to beat the expected crowds.  Beyond Waterhead some people, including a group of 9, had already chosen their pitch for the day. That was before 9.30. There’s a photo in extras. There were swimmers and paddle boarders too. One of the boats in the main blip was being used though I don’t know if it left the jetty. This is just down the lake from the cruiser piers ..... not a picture postcard scene  but a different viewpoint .

I then walked up into Skelghyll Woods past Stagshaw gardens (NT) and was surprised that the gate was unlocked. I didn’t go in but checked later on the website and it is open to visitors. 

Home for my mid morning drink and I haven’t been out again. It’s been another blue sky day but with a breeze so not as hot as yesterday.
