The phone rang at 10.03 and that was the end of any plans for the day. I was just wanted for advice though my husband was more use than me.

In the afternoon I thought we may run out of milk so I wandered to the shops. It’s still very quiet on the streets of Ambleside. There were more motorcyclists than people on foot. Perhaps the residents were staying at home while visitors flocked to the lakeshore.

I preferred this photo with the ivy climbing over the bridge than the street views but there are a few of those in an extra.

I came home with cream cakes as well as milk.
