Along the tracks

A hot and sticky day for our second day of monitoring. Although we've been visiting for over fifteen years, I still enjoy visiting this area and seeing areas that aren't open to the general public. At this time of year the area between the rail lines is red from the drought-stressed leaves of Herb Robert, which thrives on the railway ballast.
