New Pest

I just noticed thousands of these little yellow aphids on my Milkweed plant.....they are Oleander Aphids and are quite destructive. I don't know how they got on this one plant but I will be washing them off with soap and water....NOW. They are silly comical little insects....but not welcome here.

We got our promised rain today....I am grateful because the gardens really need it....and the cost of water has become so expensive from the city......last month it was $175 and I didn't even turn on the irrigation system yet!! I dread to see what it will be at the end of summer. I may let my lawn go dormant this year.  :-(( The lawn causes me to use twice as much water when I irrigate.
