Mine craft
We cycled along the gob piles after we left the built-up area. It was an easy ride once we had cycled up to Kerkrade. We didn't expect it to be.
A little north of Jülich, at Barmen, we reached the river Ruhr where significantly more cyclists were than on the way there.
It was nice to cycle all the way to Jülich. We visited the citadel and found a geocach. On the market square we ordered milk coffee and cheesecake at a coffeehouse. We had to write down our origins, our names, address and phone number, in case there is going to be a covid-19 outbreak amongst one of the visitors of the restaurant. That's okay. It's a thousand times better than a tracking app that keeps track of us for 24/7.
From Jülich to Alsdorf, we followed an old, now paved, railtrack. Slthough we had to cross a hill again, we passed it unnoticed.
When we passed the border into the Netherlands, we immediately were surrounded by people, a lot of people. It looks like people only seem to enjoy themselves with other people.
