Beautiful Damsel

I first saw one of these beauties just over a week ago along a local river.  Today's sighting was a little closer ... she was actually flitting over my garden pond and competing for the best resting places with the small red damselflies which have also manged to find the pond.  Yesterday I saw no less than 3 mating pairs plus a few unattached ones (extras).  Not bad for a small pond in the middle of a large housing estate several miles from any other water source!
