Clematis

This is a very plucky plant! When we moved in twelve years ago we put up a trellis at the front of the house and planted this clematis in a pot to climb up it. However, it never really got established and looked quite a poor thing. Probably the wrong aspect for it we were told so me moved it elsewhere but again no luck. In the end we sort of gave up and put the pot by the shed next to a very vigorous growing shrub which soon overwhelmed it. Imagine our surprise then when the clematis poked it’s flowers through the shrub the following spring and it’s done the same each year since. Indeed more flowers appearing each year to remind us that it never gave up even if we did. Wonderful
