Poppies
Early walk this morning as we were woken up at 4.30 by the cacophony of disjointed sound provided by our friends the jackdaw and rook families which have taken a liking to our lawn! Over twenty of them today. So we gave in and after a short drive over to Mickleton and parking by the church we made our way over the fields. Climbing steadily up to the lovely village of Hidcote Boyce and then continued on up towards Lark-stoke where we came across this poppy field before starting our descent down to Hidcote Gardens National Trust property and then past Kiftsgate Court. From there, still going downhill until the church at Mickleton came into view and we finally arrived back by eight o’clock. Stopping at the village shop on the way back for fresh bread and finally arriving home and back to bed for an hour with a pot of coffee and feeling good
