Walking up the lane to the common this evening I disturbed this roe deer. She crossed the lane in front of me and then raced across the fields. Many of the pastures have been cut and I wonder whether she has ventured further from the woods to have her fawn in the remaining long grass.

Once on the common, I disturbed a couple of hare who also raced off, sadly too quickly for me to get a shot.
