605 new cases of the infection were registered yesterday, while the number of recoveries were 857. Of the 605 new cases, 433 were among expatriate workers and 172 were contacts of active cases.
Bahrain also recorded two more deaths, raising the total coronavirus fatalities to 19.

Government schools are set to reopen on September 6 for teaching and administrative staff and on September 16 for students.

THE cost of services and products in Bahrain is expected to surge by at least 35 per cent before the year-end due to the impact of Covid-19 on the nation’s economy.
