Bahrain recorded 2,259 new cases, 29 fatalities and 2,804 recoveries today
Bahrain registered 29 deaths yesterday – the highest daily toll since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic last year.

The deaths also crossed a grim milestone of 1,000-mark, with the total fatalities now at 1,009.

The UK has reported zero daily coronavirus-related deaths for the first time since the pandemic began.

The last time there were no deaths was on March 7 last year, before the first lockdown.

3,165 new Covid-19 cases were also recorded in the latest 24-hour period.
