The farmhouse view.

Today I travelled over the border in to Northumberland to visit a client who I'm working for down there. They live in a lovely farmhouse surrounded by the mist gorgeous countryside.

Listened to aung san suu kyi on Desert Island Discs- the perfect way to enjoy the drive down there.

The design has all been agreed, the garden all cleared and stripped of turf so we were ready for marking out. It's one of my favourite parts of the process and doing it with the client today was fun. Seeing where the terrace is going to go, all the lovely places to sit and all the planting.

One of the small patios at the edge of the garden looks out on to this gorgeous view. These fields are owned by the clients and this will give them a chance to stop and look for a while.
