Paradise after Squalor

just realised I didn’t finish off the trip from last May.

After the squalor of the place in Aljezur we arrived at this beautiful farmhouse with 10 rooms for renting in the main house set in beautiful countryside not far Tavira and the Spanish border.

It overlooks a nature reserve where the flamingos swoop in early evening.  Breakfast was help yourself made by the lovely Christina and we sat outside and ate it.  

Afterwards we headed along the road to Cacela Velha, absolutely stunning,soft white sand and turquoise water of different shades.  It was so good to be here.  

Evening we sat out in the roof terrace and watched the flamingos swoop into the lagoon.  The farm has tracks to walk round and there is a resident stork which was in the nest watching my every move.

It’s so peaceful here.
