Busy Bee
It rained quite a lot during the night which was good for the lawn. The cold wind has come as a bit of a shock today. Late this afternoon we took a walk out onto the cliff path and these flowers were quite striking. Then we noticed that some bees were having a field day.
It was good to see some rain at last and at last we can test that our roof is in fact now mended. The walls were dry this morning, good news indeed! The peas are doing well and enjoyed the rain too! (In extras)
It is great to see many staycation holidays being advertised around the island and in Herm, Sark and Alderney. The hotels are hoping that Bailiwick people will holiday very near home. As many of the hotels are quite luxurious and some with indoor swimming pools I am sure it will be nice for some families to do that. Our daughter has already booked a break in Sark.
The Herm ferry will begin a service on Tuesday, the Sark ferry has started and Alderney ferry begins in a few days too. Hopefully all areas of the economy will be up and running again soon.
Nobody can go to Jersey yet as they have not become clear of the virus.
