Flower Friday . . . Red Hot Pokers

Another view from our friends beautiful garden.  Martin is a keen photographer and stepping into his lounge is like stepping into a gallery.  He has large prints of animals he has photographed in Africa and Alaska.  His camera and lens are to die for.  Just after lunch we saw a tui fly into the red hot pokers.  We both took photos from inside and through the double glazed windows.  The extra is my first flying Tui.  Not sharp but still a thrill for me and hopefully the beginning of getting shots of birds in flight.  Up the shutter speed said Martin.
