Three for the price of one

Thank you all again for your supportive and insightful comments of yesterday's blip. They are very much appreciated and always add another dimension to my understanding and comprehension of the situation we find ourselves in.

A much lighter note today, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring the latest issue to arise, that relating to an agricultural deal with the USA which, if you take note of some of the reports will lead to food being imported that undermines our animal welfare standards and other requirements we have of our food producers. It seems things that were categorically off the agenda earlier in the year are now back on the table.

We had the best of the day by getting up early and getting out into the morning sunshine. True to form, days that start off like this often end in tears and so it was. We had rain, not enough to wet your whistle, and winds which bent over my peas at the allotment despite them being supported by wire netting. And pigeons stripped my summer cabbages as I'd forgotten to put the cloches back over after weeding on Thursday. My own fault!

Crossing a field near Susan's dream house we were the subject of intense observation by a small flock of sheep who came running over the horizon to see what was going on. There are three different breeds here. One must have been hand reared as she went up to Susan to have her neck tickled. See extra
