Lockdown Day 75 - Still in Flower

Shopping day and the rather unusual scene of no queues as I walked out of the supermarket at 9 am (I wonder if it was something to do with the weather?).

I have to say we hardly ventured out after that as we got regular heavy showers throughout the day.  Only now, as I sit in the study in the late evening has the weather calmed to any extent.  It was baking day.  L created some brownies while I made the evening meal of vegetarian gumbo.  I even diverted from the recipe and added other vegetables into the mix.  It was real comfort food.

While I was labouring over the hob, I got the camera out and added some extension tubes to the 50mm lens to do some close ups of the orchid flowers on the windowsill.  No word of a lie the plant has been in flower for at least 3 months, with no sign of the flowers going over or falling.  Surely orchids must be the easiest plants to keep.
