Freesias

For years I’ve tried to grow freesias with little success. This year, whether as a result of the warm weather and/or luck, they have flowered.

They are a favourite flower and I love their scent. My sense of smell is patchy and long before Covid-19 has come and (often) just gone. Happily this is a time when I can appreciate their perfume and these home grown ones are particularly strong.

An Australian friend once told me they treated freesias as weeds. I wish!

A much better day than forecast with long spells of clear blue skies and a wind which softened as they day went on. Removed the tulips that had gone over and put in new compost and plants. And even got more of the attic tidied with the help of output son. A good day!
