The beautiful River Avon

In Stratford. Famous and beautiful Warwickshire town, and the home of William Shakespeare.

This view was from the terrace of the newly refurbished Rooftop Restaurant at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

It was a glorious sunny day, but there were not hordes of tourists as usual ! It was quite quiet in fact.

I went to the excellent matinee production of "The Winters Tale" - and sitting further along the row from me was a group of four under-tens. They were in the safe keeping of a kindly foreign lady who obviously was misled by the title of the play into thinking it was a pantomime. It could have been worse... it could have been "Chocolate Orange" !
