Past Their Best

I love this climbing rose. It's an Albertine and has a delicious perfume. I have been wanting to dead head the spent flowers for the past few days as there are lots of new buds to follow. However, being a fair weather gardener, I didn't want to do it in the cold and wet. It is still dull here today but at least it is dry and the temperature has managed to get up to 12 decC.
