Baby birds

Couldn't resist peeping today and was astounded to find these.  I'd assumed that only one had hatched since I'd only found one eggshell.  However, I now know that the parents remove the hatched eggshell from the nest and take it far away to fool predators.

The boys are already talking about chaperoning the cats at all times outside.  We all feel very protective.
