Smallville

There is a lot of building going on in my town. Some of it is in the centre a kilometre away. Some is on my doorstep just the other side of the canal. I can’t make up my mind whether it is sinister or progress, but small town life is always like that ...

On which subject, tonight we watched The Vast of Night which I thought was excellent. Not just an homage to the 1950s sci-fi genre; it also spoke volumes about human vs technological connection and the ecstasy and the danger involved in being different and "out there". Superb cinematography. Some neat 1950s cars and clothes too.
