Mains Castle in Caird Park, Dundee
A mainly dull day with some sunshine
A morning of preparation for leading and preaching on Sunday.
In the afternoon, we went for a walk through Caird Park. We had a look at the new Regional Performance Centre, which was recently completed but has sadly not seen much use because of Lockdown. We walked along the Gelly Burn with some beautiful flowers and Rhododendron bushes on the edge of three small ponds which the Burn runs through.
This is the 16th Century Castle in the Park, also known as Claverhouse Castle. It was renovated in the 1980’s and is now used as a Wedding Venue and Restaurant - at least it was until Covid arrived.
