Mist in the Hartley
Unlike most highland areas, Blue Mountains settlements run along the central east/west ridge while the valleys remain relatively unoccupied, aside from hobby farms and areas of national park forest. Hence Blue Mountains scenery is usually about valleys. Recently I have blipped the Grose and Kanimbla Valleys.Today I found myself IN the Hartley Valley on my way to Lithgow, watching mist burn off along the northern escarpment.
Earlier in the day, Pelorus Jack and myself had wandered over to Cahills Lookout where we had hoped to get pictures of a misty Megalong Valley. All we got however was a valley totally swamped with fog. The first extra shows Jack shooting …. well … something ... from his position 400 feet above the valley floor. Extra two shows a colour version of this main blip without the "structure" enhancement in Silver Efex. Should it have been the main blip?
