inspired by the last invasion of Britain

This took place in Fishguard in 1794 and the event has been recorded in Bayeaux - style by a committed group of embroiderers who were anxious that the event, and the site on which the battle took place should be recognised and protected.
it seems that the local women at the time of invasion were a feisty bunch too!
