The river bank is looking very colourful with the pink and white flowers of Dame’s Violet (Hesperis matronalis) and Comfrey, both lovers of damp conditions.  There was a slight fragrance from the Dame’s violet and a constant buzz from dozens of bees enjoying the comfrey while two mallards swam past in the light rain.
