PEREGRINE REPORT

For the past couple of days I've been engaged with splendid folk from Hawk and Owl Trust. Who've been out with binoculars and camera's keeping an eye on the 4 Peregrine chicks and 2 adults.
The chicks fledged Sunday in the midst of a thunderstorm that took the web-cam down. They dropped down off the box to lower on the spire. 1 chick has " grounded " several times. At this stage their wings are not strong enough to get them up off the ground again, so H&O were on hand to get it off the ground onto a roof again.

My photo is of the Cathedral Spire. All 4 youngsters were on the left hand lower spire and had just been fed by parents. All 4 had flown around this morning and are now much stronger already.
