2nd Brood

Blackbirds are ferrying around gobs full of meal worm. I guess they are raising a 2nd Brood.

Here's yesterdays report from Hawk and Owl with more good photo's of all 4 young on lower spire.

Apparently the adults will continue to bring food ( mostly pigeon ) to young, then in about a month they will start teaching them to catch food in the air. They drop food in the sky and young have to catch it. Peregrines only take prey in the air so its a skill they have to develop fast.

The Adult female we have here now came from Bath.  She was a disaster of a mother 1st year but gets better and better.
I'm told an Adult Peregrine over winters each year in Aylsham them nests in Finland.
