Trumpeter Swans Take Back Nature
The lake, surrounded by picnic pavilions, was eerily quiet on Friday. But as we're hearing around the world, nature is taking back it's territory. As I drove by, I saw a pair of trumpeter swans. We do get Trumpeters here in the Twin Cities, but typically they nest in areas much more secluded. While I doubt these two will stay, this area is much too busy, I thoroughly enjoyed my 40 minutes with them. It replenished my soul to be in the presence of such peaceful creatures. I went home and was not annoyed by the dishes next to the dishwasher or the clothes two feet from the laundry shoot.
