Gentle Giants

The boys didn't want to go to the Rescue Ranch last time we visited Arizona and this time it was much the same. They are not the animal lovers that their little sister is. But they can't say no to their Grandma and so they went. O's favorite part was driving the 4-wheeler. He was hanging back when we got off to meet the horses so I had him grab the carrots. I just love this photo. I feel like he is realizing his fate. There's no turning back. He is going to have to feed these horses. They will insist on it.
When hw was little, his hand would inadvertently find its way into people's hair. It was lovely. He would be listening to someone talk, but whoever he was sitting next to him would begin to notice their hair being twirled by his tiny fingers. By the end of our day with the horses, they were treated to his same gentle attention.
